For some people, coffee is life. The freshly brewed beverage with its rich aroma kickstarts our senses, making us ready for the day. While some love espresso, others prefer it with milk. While health experts have often weighed in on the benefits of coffee, there has always been a debate on how many cups one should have. Interestingly, for Nestle CEO Philipp Navratil, his usual coffee drinking habit features 8 cups every day. Yes, you read that right. The 50-year-old chief has made the revelation himself.

Nestle CEO’s unique coffee drinking habit

Philipp Navratil, in an interview with Business Insider, revealed that he drinks 5 cups of coffee before 10 a.m., with ‘at least’ 8 cups daily. His preference? Cold-brewed black coffee without sugar. Navratil added that he considers coffee to be a ‘healthy beverage’, adding that he recently started dabbling in decaf.

Philipp Navratil, however, emphasises that he doesn’t really start his day with coffee. The CEO likes to hydrate first and hence drinks water the first thing after getting up before grabbing his favourite brew. An ardent coffee enthusiast, Navratil admits to ‘looking forward to that’ cup every day.
