Few foods are as comforting as a warm, cheesy, savoury pizza fresh out of the oven. Whether it's a weekend treat or a response to sudden cravings, this Italian snack often tops the list of comfort foods. However, that satisfaction is frequently followed by guilt, as traditional pizzas can be loaded with excess calories, refined flour, and unhealthy fats. But for those looking for a healthier alternative, Mumbai-based nutritionist Vanshika Khurana recently shared a video on Instagram featuring her homemade high-protein pizza recipe. Packed with flavour, nutrition, and fewer calories, it offers a guilt-free way to enjoy pizza at home.

Homemade pizza recipe: Ingredients required

80g high-protein paneer

Homemade pizza recipe: How to make

To prepare the delicious pizza, you first need to air fry the bread slices at 180 for 3-4 mins until you are chopping veggies, suggested Vanshika Khurana. After that, spread 1-1.5 tbsp of pizza sauce uniformly on each slice. In the next step, add 1/2 tsp of olive oil to the paneer cubes, sprinkle some salt and pepper and add the paneer to the toasties.

The golden-brown toasties are then topped with corn, mushrooms, capsicum and onion, followed by a generous servings of gooey mozzarella cheese. In the final step, simply air fry the veggie loaded toasties at 180 for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese gets achieves a golden brown colour. And in about 9 minutes your tasty and protein-packed pizza is ready to be savoured, making it a great breakfast option for even rushed morning hours when you are in a hurry to leave for work.
