3 travel essentials of Jean-Charles Boisset: Book, fountain pen and pendulum
Jean-Charles Boisset is a man of eclectic tastes. With his suave ways and jet setting lifestyle, it’s easy to see why the proprietor of the Boisset Collection is often referred to as the James Bond of the wine world. And like the sexy spy, Boisset loves new places and the thrill of discovery.

“I’m in love with travelling and I get a huge amount of inspiration when I do. I always travel with my fountain pen, my pendulum and my book, so I can draw, and also take notes.”

Some of the places Boisset recommends include Greece and Spain. He says, “I adore the glamour of Greece. I am also fascinated by the grandeur of France, especially the 17th and 18th century,” he says. Boisset’s list continues to include Southern Spain’s Seville and Old Portugal too. “It’s difficult for me to tell you about a place I don’t like because I can find beauty everywhere,” he says, with a laugh.
