3 mobile phones & a paper notebook
Mobile phones I carry three mobile phones with me — for Australia, India and Singapore. They are 4G, 2G and 3G respectively. I also carry Smart TV for sports and the occasional big picture YouTube viewing.

Utility knife I carry a Swiss army knife for communicating with mangoes, oranges and apples, along with my collapsible cloth shopping bag that carry the fruits.

Notebook I like the old fashioned paper one. I use my notebook for writing notes.

Torch I always carry a pocket torch. I don’t like the ones that come with the iPhone.

iPad I use my iPad more like an encyclopaedia. I keep it near the dinner table because when arguments arise, we simply Google the information. During the pre-iPad days, these disputes could run for hours and days because there was no convenient way to decide whether, say, Dresden was in East or West Germany. Now such things are settled in a Wi-Fi flash and we move on to the next argument.

Apps I tend to use Maps, Tram Tracker, Weather apps a lot. For news, I use the CNN, The Times of India, The Hindu and the BBC apps. Apart from that, Money Converter and Calculator come in handy during my travels.
