How deep does your love for reading run? $15,000 deep? That's the price for Helmut Newton's SUMO by Taschen, a book on photography, which has been called the biggest and most expensive book produced in the 20th century. The book, which had a limited edition of 10,000 copies worldwide, each signed and numbered by Newton, is already sold out. SUMO also includes a custom bookholder designed by Philippe Starck.

The 464-page book is a tribute to Newton's controversial and influential output. "I wanted to build a monument to the most important photographer of the 20th century," says Benedikt Taschen, the publisher behind SUMO.

SUMO, edited by June Newton, features over 400 pictures, most of which have been published for the first time. The photos cover every aspect of Newton's career, from fashion to nudes and celebrity portraits.

Newton has described SUMO as "terrifying and outrageous". "I don't even look at it as a book. I look at it as an object."
