Kylie Jenner has finally opened the doors to her lavish home that has been years in the making. The Kardashians star has offered a glimpse of her sprawling Hidden Hills estate, showcasing the grand spaces and Italian-inspired touches planned for what she calls her ‘dream house.’ Set across 5 acres in California, the property has been under construction for almost 6 years, with Jenner now seemingly closer to turning the long-awaited project into her home. She bought the land in April 2020 for $15 million, around the same time she splurged $36.5 million on a separate Holmby Hills compound.

Italian-inspired landscaping sets the tone

On September 6, Kylie posted a vlog on her YouTube channel sharing details of her custom home in the making. The tour offered a glimpse of how the beauty mogul is transforming the sprawling grounds into an Italian-style retreat. She explained that the entrance will be framed by lavender and mature olive trees, while a rose garden is also being added to the landscape. Kylie said she worked with landscaper Jim Hyatt, known for his work at Sanjo Ranch, drawing inspiration from his earlier projects.

One of the details that caught her attention was the reclaimed cobblestone driveway. Walking through the unfinished property, Kylie admired the feature and described the house as her “beautiful dream Italian home.” Meanwhile, the interiors already feature reclaimed wood flooring, although much of it remains protected while construction continues.

Kylie’s vision takes shape indoors

Kylie stated that she is also personally involved in selecting finishes, including the plaster used throughout the main living spaces. After dismissing a sample that appeared too grey for her taste, she chose another shade closer to the look she envisioned. The home’s old-world character extends to its fireplaces. One was sourced by Kylie as a reclaimed architectural piece for the entrance, while antique brick will be incorporated into the surrounding design.

The kitchen is taking shape too, with cabinetry already delivered. The woodwork, however, will undergo staining to achieve the colour Kylie wants. Exposed brick is also planned around the kitchen and living-room fireplace, a design idea from Waldo and Tommy Clemens that Jenner approved.

Luxury interiors meet traditional design

Downstairs, the basement is set to become a dedicated leisure zone with a gym and seating area. Jenner also showed a guest bedroom where finishing decisions were still underway. Bathrooms across the property lean heavily into traditional design, with stonework playing a major role. One guest bathroom will feature vintage tiles sourced by the designers for a shower. Kylie singled out the space as one of her favourites, saying she was “in love with it.”

The 5-acre estate is being designed for more than quiet luxury. Outdoor plans include a gravel sports court, dining area, fountain and pizza oven, creating plenty of space for entertaining. Jenner envisions using the expansive grounds for dinner parties, birthday celebrations and gatherings with family and friends.
