As Pink Floyd returns with an album after 20 years, these die-hard fans reflect on how their professional journeys progressed with the iconic band's career:

Subhash Kamath

What he was doing in 1994: Client Services Director, Trikaya Grey

Where he is in 2014: CEO and Managing Partner, BBH India

"I discovered Pink Floyd when I was in college, sometime during 1983-84. The music, the lyrics, the vocals, the guitar work — all came together to form an awesome experience. 'Another Brick in the Wall' hit me right between the eyes. I was stunned and mesmerised. It was anthemic. "Unfortunately, I never had the privilege to watch Pink Floyd live. By the time I'd started working, the band had broken up. It will remain one of life's big regrets for me. But at least I did manage to hear Roger Waters live in India twice. My favourite album of theirs would still be The Wall, though The Dark Side of the Moon [album cover, above] ranks a close second."

"I was exposed to their music way back in college and I have been a fan ever since. Every time one listens to Floyd, one is suddenly transported to another world — a world of peace and tranquillity. "In 1994, I began my career in advertising and every Friday evening we used to meet at someone's place with beer and a guitar for company. Floyd was, of course, a favourite with many. To the people it matters, their new album — The Endless River — is bigger than an iPhone launch."

"I have been a Floyd fan for eons and am looking forward to listening to The Endless River. It brings back memories of The Eagles reunion album Hell Freezes Over which was launched 12 years after the Eagles broke up. As for my favourite Floyd album, that would be a toss-up between The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall."

What he was doing in 1994: Area Sa les Manager (Maharashtra), IDV (now Diageo)

Where he is in 2014: Founder & Managing Director, Trinity Vintners Pvt Ltd

"I have been listening to Floyd since the 1980s. The music is amazing and the way their shows are orchestrated is an art form in itself. I got to watch a part of the band, not the complete original line-up of the band, in Mumbai a few years ago. It was absolutely magical. I had taken my son along for the concert as well. "My favourites, among their albums so far, have to be The Wall and The Delicate Sound of Thunder. Wait! On second thought, it is also The Dark Side of the Moon."
