'1899': Makers of Netflix hit show 'Dark' return with new series filled with mystery & horror
Set in the late 19th century, the show follows a group of people moving from Europe to the New World.

Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese have returned with their new production, '1899', which has started streaming on Netflix from Thursday (November 17).
Set in the late 19th century, the show follows a group of people moving from Europe to the New World on the ship Kerberos. The passengers on board seem to be "running away from something."
On their journey across the treacherous Atlantic Ocean, the passengers of the ship encounter the biggest mystery of their lives as they come across the Prometheus, a ship that disappeared without a trace a few months ago.
The mystery drama '1899' is a deeply immersive new series, just like 'Dark'. The series demands answers to several key questions such as what happened to Prometheus? Where are all the passengers, almost 1,500 people?
Even the show's trailer makes it evidently clear from the start that nothing is as right as it seems.
The epic period mystery-horror series is the first from Netflix to be shot completely in a virtual studio. The complex visual-effects shots for the series have been created using cutting-edge LED-Volume technology with a video game engine that makes virtual sets.
The show boasts a diverse cast including Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, who also appeared in 'Dark'.
