Women prefer male bosses: Study

Most women prefer to work under male bosses as they are less prone to mood swings, a study has suggested.

LONDON: Most women prefer to work under male bosses as they are less prone to mood swings, a study has suggested.

In a survey of 2,000 women in full or part-time employment, sixty three per cent expressed a male preference, while only 37 per cent opted for a woman because male bosses are more authoritative, straight-talking and better at making decisions than their female counterparts.

According to the OnePoll.com, which conducted the survey, two thirds of female employees preferred a man in charge in the office because they are "better managers and less prone to moods swings".

"Men were also revealed to be better at having an overall vision of the direction the business was going to take over the long-term," a spokesman for OnePoll.com was quoted as saying by the Mail online today.

The research found while women are good at dealing with employees' personal issues within the office environment most felt men were better at 'steering the ship', the British website reported.
