The Forum for Women in Leadership, an Indian think-tank focused on grooming more women corporate leaders in the country, has said that less than 5% of board positions at India Inc are held by women.

Poonam Barua, founder chairman of The Forum for Women in Leadership said technology services companies such as Wipro and Infosys have failed in creating a pipeline for women leaders by not putting a clear process.

“If these companies do not make this a part of their DNA, employees, customers and partners will see through. Their pipeline is empty,” she quipped.
