DUBAI: The UAE has hiked salaries of federal government employees by a whopping 70 per cent with effect from January 2008.
The decision was taken during a UAE cabinet meeting in Abu Dhabi yesterday, the official Emirates news agency said.
The ministry of finance was directed to implement the order by effecting the increase on the January 2008 salary.
