ET reached out to over a dozen recruiters from the ecosystem on their campus hiring plans. While a few including Zomato, Indus Insights and ProcMart said their campus hiring targets had gone up compared to last year, others including Razorpay, Simplilearn, CashKaro and NoBroker indicated that their numbers would be flat or lower.

There will be some hiring because of relationships but fewer offers than last year,” said Krishna Kumar, chief executive at edtech startup Simplilearn. Plans are yet to be firmed up, but the company is likely to hire more from business schools than engineering colleges this year, added Kumar.
