“47% TA professionals report that sourcing qualified candidates is harder today than it was a year ago,” the report stated. In India, it is toughest to fill vacancies for research jobs (29%), followed by sales (22%), while admin/call center roles are “oversubscribed”.
India is going through a more intense churn in processes, compared to statistics globally, and this is what is contributing to a higher need for changing skills (31% for India vis-à-vis 20% globally). According to report by PTI on Thursday, employers were “cautiously optimistic” about their hiring outlook for the next six months and 67% of the recruiters expected new jobs to be created.
The advisory firm also revealed that even the employee approach towards choosing a job is changing. The TA leaders said that the company/brand reputation was the most important factor 5 years ago, but now culture, brand and career progression are more evenly split as the top 3 and five years down the line the above three factors will be displaced by flexible working.
