MUMBAI: Hunt Partners, an executive search firms with allied business units, today announced on Monday that it has received a formal mandate for senior executive talent search from Softbank India, the Indian arm of the Japanese multinational holding firm which has been very active in India.

Exact details of the mandate like the number of hires involved, the ventures they are being sought for cannot be shared as per the formal agreement signed between both parties, said the statement.

The trend of investment/holding firms seeking services of India’s leading executive search firms like Hunt Partners has shown an increase with Temasek and Tiger Global also awarding such mandates recently.

According to Sumit Mehra, managing partner, Hunt Partners, “The Softbank mandate is a shot in the arm for us as it involves identifying and on-boarding the right leadership talent in Indian market for one of the world’s most high profile holding firms.

The challenge is further accentuated by the huge rush in demand for leadership talent arising out of numerous start-ups scaling rapidly and thus requiring more seasoned hands to steady the ship and take it to the next level.”
