Sales and marketing hiring on a high in FMCG, retail sectors

The majority of hiring activity within sales and marketing is currently occurring in FMCG, retail and healthcare and life sciences sectors, according to the latest Michael Page Salary & Employment Forecast for India — Report on Sales & Marketing Function.

The report shows that though the majority of hiring activity is occurring in Delhi, NCR and Mumbai as most company headquarters are based there, organisations are looking to expand into markets outside of the major cities.

“Companies want to move to next-tier cities outside of the metros, leading to demand for professionals with rural marketing skills in both FMCG and healthcare and life sciences,” says Alf Harris (regional director), Michael Page India.
