Pune Infoscions urged to get home early
BANGALORE: Infosys wants its employees in Pune to get home early. The company has made changes to its existing late-stay policy, refraining its employees from working late in the day.

In an email sent to employees on Tuesday, the company said, "In light of the changes in late-stay policy on campuses across Infosys, we wish to inform you that all recreational facilities shall be operational till 7.45 pm every day." This includes indoor/ outdoor games, gym and locker facilities, said sources familiar with the development. The policy said weekend timings would also be changed as per this notification. "Abiding by the company policy make sure you're leaving the campus by 8 pm," it added.

When TOI contacted Infosys, the company spokesperson said, "We do not comment on matters pertaining to our internal organization."

Though employees largely see this as a positive move encouraging them to end the day early, those working in late shifts to support clients in different geographies would miss out on the opportunity to use these facilities. The company has reduced the frequency of buses to ferry employees back home. Earlier, the buses would ply at 1-hour interval between 5-9 pm in the evening. Now the last bus leaves at 8 pm, said sources.
