Parent trap: India Inc bats for maternity benefits for women employees

Companies in India are helping women get out of the parent trap, quite literally. In a recently concluded research by Nasscom and Trilegal, 'Maternity benefits and facilitating return to work', nearly 90% companies in India answered that they were more than compliant with the statutory requirements of offering maternity leave. But a few IT-business process management companies offered more favourable benefits to its new parents, reports Varuni Khosla.
