Over 1,000 posts to be created for Delhi Judicial Service

Delhi Cabinet today cleared a proposal to create over one thousand new posts, including 160 posts of officers, for Delhi Judicial Service to overcome problem of pendency.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Cabinet today cleared a proposal to create over one thousand new posts, including 160 posts of officers, for Delhi Judicial Service to overcome problem of pendency.

The Cabinet has approved creation of 1,040 posts including 160 posts of officers of Delhi Judicial Service and other posts of ancillary staff in different scales for Dwarka and Saket District Courts, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said after the meeting

The posts are being created with an aim to overcome problem of pendency and smooth functioning of judicial system, she said.

The Cabinet has also cleared a proposal of PWD for construction of bus bays and other facilities near Nand Nagri in the capital with an aim to ensure smooth traffic.

The project will cost Rs 107 crore and it would be executed within 30 months after award of tender, officials said.
