Odisha government hikes DA by 10 per cent for employees and pensioners

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government today declared ten per cent hike in DA for its employees with retrospective effect from January 1, 2014, official sources said here.

The announcement of the hike would now raise the allowance to 100 per cent in line with central government employees and benefit about five lakh state government employees and pensioners.

The state government's attempt to woo its employees ahead of the elections to the state Assembly and Lok Sabha was on expected lines after the Union Cabinet recently hiked the DA for central government employees by ten per cent.
