Mittal denies Sarkozy's summons
LN Mittal on Friday denied being summoned by the French president Nicolas Sarkozy on the issue of workers lay-off due to the proposed shut down of an ArcelorMittal plant in eastern France, saying there was no job loss involved.
NEW DELHI: LN Mittal on Friday denied being summoned by the French president Nicolas Sarkozy on the issue of workers lay-off due to the proposed shut down of an ArcelorMittal plant in eastern France, saying there was no job loss involved.
“There is no question of job-loss. We are only restructuring our operations and offering alternate jobs in the process. We are also creating a fund to re-train workers for rehabilitation,” he said.
