​Mega recruitment drive: SSC notifies 54,000 vacancies in Armed forces, apply latest by August 20

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification seeking applications for 54,953 vacant posts in armed police forces, including the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), among others. The positions pertain to vacancies in some of the most revered and esteemed units of the country Armed Forces. Apart from the the four units mentioned above, applications are open for multiple positions in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as well.

Education qualification: Class 10 certificate from a recognised board or government authorised education institute.


Age limit: 18-23 years

How to apply?
Interested candidates need to apply online for the said posts. They would have to do so using the website http://www.ssconline.nic.in. or 'Click here to apply' link provided at http://www.ssc.nic.in>Apply>GD-Constable.

Only selected candidates will be asked to appear for a computer-based examination. Admit cards for the exams will be uploaded on the website of the concerned SSC Regional Office. Candidates are requested to keep an eye on the portal.

Based on the results of the exam, applicants will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Standard Test (PST).
