Infosys, TCS, RIL and others to hire 1,250 students from UPES

NEW DELHI: Over 300 recruiters visited University of Petroleum and Energy Studies ( UPES) to hire over 1250 students. The top recruiters list includes the Indian Navy, Reliance Industries Limited, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, IBM, L&T Infotech. The total number of recruiters was up by 28 per cent this year over the last year.

The overall placement figure stands at 90 per cent with 100 per cent of BBA students, 94 per cent of MBA students, 92 per cent of LLB students and 87 per cent of B Tech students successfully placed.

Another 16 students got placed in Middle-East and in the African continent. According to a release, this year saw significant demand for students with specialization in cloud computing and virtualization technology, mainframe technology, business analytics and optimization, artificial intelligence, etc.
