India facing human talent shortage, says Edenred India CEO
India is facing a mismatch in demand and supply in human talent and there is a shortage of quality talent in the industry.
“Young talent is energetic, ambitious, capable, and competent but the talent is slightly overrated and one of the challenges is the gap between the talent’s self assessment and the value for money that he is able to deliver to the organization,” says Banerjee.
“This issue is encountered by many of our clients. At the moment, there is a mismatch between what the organization wants them to deliver and what they are able to deliver. It is also a function of demand and supply,” adds Banerjee.
