IIT Roorkee students bag 395 offers until Day 2 of placements; salaries go up

New Delhi: On Day 2 of the placement season at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee that started this December 1, a total of 35 companies had visited.

The recruiters that visited on the second day included American Express, Applied Materials, Cisco Systems India Private Ltd., Citrix R&D India Pvt. Ltd., DBOI Global Services Pvt. Ltd., Dream11.

Other recruiters like Enphase Energy, Groww, Harness, Jaguar Land Rover India, JioSaavn Media Ltd., JP Morgan, LAM Research, MTX Group Inc, nVidia Graphics, Paypal, Razorpay Software Private Limited, Samsung Research Institute Bangalore, Samsung Semiconductor India Research Center Bangalore, among others also visited.


According to a statement issued by IIT Roorkee, the institute has received 395 offers including pre-placement offers until Day 2. Some interviews were still in the process and the results were awaited. So the number of offers and companies could further go up for Day 2, the statement said.
