IIT-Delhi receives over 225 offers on Day 1 of placements

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has received over 225 offers on Day 1 this placement season, an increase of 10% over last year. Intel has given out the maximum number of domestic offers to students at this campus so far while Samsung South Korea has given the maximum number of international pre-placement offers (PPOs).

"We are seeing the trend of more placements over the years and hope this trend will continue," S. Dharmaraja, Head, Training & Placement Unit, IIT Delhi said.

On day 1, 25 international offers were made to the students graduating by companies from Japan, Singapore and US. Maximum international offers have been from Microsoft Redmond (US) and SquarePoint Capital, Singapore.


Over 350 organisations from India and abroad have shown their intent to recruit students from IIT Delhi upto now.

Students also bagged over 160 PPOs of which over 85 were accepted. A few students opted for the deferred placement options of the institute available to students interested in pursuing their start-up dreams.
