IIT Bombay's Day 1 placements see most international offers from NEC Japan, Microsoft, Optiver, Rubrik, Uber

MUMBAI: Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, IBM, Microsoft, BCG, Cairn, McKinsey Knowledge Centre & Tata Steel gave the highest number of domestic offers during Day 1 of IIT Bombay placements while the maximum International offers were made by NEC Japan, Microsoft, Optiver, Rubrik & Uber.

ISRO and BPCL had selected 13 students taking the total selection count at the end of Day 1 to more than 150. 34 recruiters participated on Day 1.

New entrants for Day-1 were Rubrik, Palantir Tehnologies, among others. Significant hiring was done by core engineering, IT/Software, Finance and Consulting sector companies.

More PSUs are expected to participate during the rest of the placement season.

For Day1, compensation wise, highest salaries (CTC) were offered by Blackstone- Rs 45 lakh/annum; Worldquant- Rs 39.6 lakh/annum and
Microsoft- Rs 39.02 lakh/annum

International offer salaries included NEC Japan - 45.70 lakh JPY/annum and Microsoft's Rs 1.39 crore package.
