IIM Indore's Summer Placements see 15 per cent increase in the average stipend

NEW DELHI: IIM Indore has concluded its ‘Summer Placements’ for the class of 2018 where around 170 companies participated. This placement season saw almost 15 per cent increase in the average stipend from last year. The Boston Consulting Group offered the highest stipend of Rs 3 lakh, this year's average stipend stood at Rs 1.04 lakh for the entire batch and Rs 1.88 lakh was the stipend for the top 100 offers.

First-time recruiters accounted for almost 40 per cent of the total participating companies and included the likes of Avalon Consulting, Corporate Executive Board, CIMB Bank, Credit Suisse, DE Shaw, Dell, Dr Lal PathLabs, Ernst & Young, etc, according to a release.

While bulge bracket investment banks like Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan Chase together rolled out more than 30 offers.
