The Covid-19 pandemic has wrought havoc across the world, but some roles and sectors have held their own in the jobs market. Positions that required digital skills have been disrupted the least; so were roles necessary to stay on top of the outbreak.
“The roles that accelerated digitalisation saw the sharpest increase in demand across both product and services companies. The premium to salaries arose from the limited supply pool and to attract those talented people who did not feel secure changing jobs during Covid-19,” said Kamal Karanth, co-founder of specialised staffing firm Xpheno.
