Of these, around 262 are pre-placement offers received by the students. The highest offer, as reported by ET yesterday is Rs 1.65 crore through a PPO.
In Slot 0 and 1 of Day 1, 89 companies rolled out 170 offers. Databricks, Plutus Research, Cohesity, Squarepoint Capital, Google, Microsodr, AQR Capital, Oracle, Flipkart, Nvidia, Tata Motors, Ola, were among the companies who participated.
“This year, we have observed significant new trends in the placement landscape. A notable highlight is the entry of several quant and high-frequency trading (HFT) companies that the institute had been targeting for years,” said SK Shrivastava, coordinator, training and placement cell, IIT-Bhu. “Companies such as Nutanix, Pace Stock Broking, Convin.ai, and many others have chosen to participate in the placement process independently.”
The institute has also seen more than 35 new companies offering software development engineer (SDE) roles join the recruitment drive this year, added Shrivastava. “This surge in participation is expected to create a substantial positive impact on the overall placement outcomes, contributing to a promising and competitive placement season,” he added.
