UPSC SCE Mains result 2024
The Union Public Service Commission (Main) exam results were announced on Monday. The UPSC exam was held on September 20, 21, 22, 28, and 29. The three-hour long exams were held in two shifts. The exam for the first shift was conducted between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon and the second shift exam was from 2:30 pm till 5.30 pm.

Candidates who clear the mains exam will be invited for an interview, which serves as a personality test round.



The Commission aims to fill over 1,000 vacancies through the examination process. Candidates who achieve scores above the cut-off marks will be eligible for recruitment into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other central services and positions.

How to check UPSC 2024 (Main) result

These are the four steps to check the results:
  • Go to the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in
  • On the home page, click on UPSC Mains Result 2024 link.
  • The user will be directed to a new PDF file where candidates can check the result with their roll numbers.
  • Save and download the file. Take a printout and keep the hard copy for further reference.

The cutoff marks, merit list, and other details apart from the results are published on the official website. Qualifying candidates will be eligible to appear in the next round that is personal interview. It is expected to take place next month, in January 2025.


UPSC 2024

The registration for the recruitment drive began on February 14 and ended on March 5. The prelims examination was conducted on June 16, and the result was announced in the following month, on July 1. This recruitment process is taking place to appoint qualifying candidates to 1,056 vacant posts.
