UPSC 2023 CSE Mains exam results to be declared soon. Check probable dates, cut off mark, etc

The Union Public Service Commission is anticipated to release the results of the 2023 Mains Civil Services Examination (CSE) soon. A total of 14,624 candidates participated in the CSE 2023, widely acknowledged as one of the most challenging exams globally. The 2023 Main civil services exams took place on September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24 earlier this year.

While the commission has not officially announced the result date, it is expected to unveil the results in December of this year. The Main CSE 2022 exams, held in September, saw results declared in December 2022.

In contrast, the Main CSE 2022 occurred in January, with results disclosed three months later in March. Similarly, in 2021, UPSC declared results in March after conducting the exam in January.


Notably, despite conducting the Main exams in September 2019, UPSC declared the results in January 2020. Therefore, there is a likelihood that the commission will follow the schedule observed in 2022.

Upon declaration, the names and roll numbers of successful candidates will be listed in the UPSC CSE Mains 2023 merit list. Those who qualify the Main exam will proceed to the interview stage.

Cut-off Mark:
In the Civil Services Examination 2022, approximately 6 lakh candidates took the Preliminary exam, with 13,090 advancing to the Main stage. Subsequently, 2,070 candidates cleared the Main exam and participated in interviews. Ultimately, 933 candidates were selected for civil services positions.
