Alakh Pandey, CEO of Physics Wallah and one of the petitioners, said that though NTA has accepted the mistake on grace marks, but he asked where there are any other discrepancies that students are not aware of. "Today, NTA accepted in front of the Supreme Court that the grace marks given to the students were wrong and they agree that this created dissatisfaction among the students. They agreed that they will remove the grace marks... Re-examination of those 1,563 students who got grace marks will be done on June 23, or the original score without grace marks would be accepted by the students. NTA agreed in front of the SC that the grace marks they awarded were wrong. The question is if NTA has other discrepancies that we are unaware of. So, there is a trust issue with NTA... The re-test results will be declared on June 30, and the counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other courses will commence on July 6, according to the Centre. The bench acknowledged these details and stated that all related pleas, including the one filed by Alakh Pandey, CEO of EdTech firm Physics Wallah, will be heard on July 8. The NEET-UG 2024 exam was conducted by the NTA on May 5 across 4,750 centres, with approximately 24 lakh candidates appearing for the test.
