The result declaration follows a structured evaluation process undertaken by CBSE. Earlier, on March 12, 2026, the board had released the scanned OMR answer sheets along with the provisional answer key. This allowed candidates to review their responses and raise objections if they found discrepancies. The objection window remained open until March 15, 2026, during which candidates could challenge specific answers by paying a fee of Rs 1,000 per question. All objections submitted within the deadline were carefully reviewed by subject experts. Based on these evaluations, CBSE prepared the final answer key, which served as the basis for calculating the CTET 2026 results.
The CTET 2026 examination was conducted on February 7 and 8 at various centres across India, witnessing participation from over 2.5 million candidates. The exam was divided into two papers: Paper 1 for candidates aspiring to teach students from Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 for those aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8. In some cases, a re-examination was also conducted on March 1, 2026, for candidates affected by specific issues during the initial test.
CTET Result 2026: How to Check
To check their results, candidates need to visit the official CTET website and navigate to the result link. By entering their roll number and date of birth, they can view and download their scorecards for future reference.In terms of qualifying criteria, candidates from the general category must secure at least 90 marks out of 150, which equals 60 percent. For candidates belonging to SC and ST categories, the minimum qualifying mark is 82 out of 150, or 55 percent.
Qualifying CTET is a crucial step for individuals aspiring to become teachers in central government schools. Clearing Paper 1 makes candidates eligible to apply for teaching positions in Classes 1 to 5, while passing Paper 2 qualifies them for Classes 6 to 8. CTET certification is mandatory for recruitment in institutions such as Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and Army Public Schools.
The CTET 2026 cycle began with the release of the official notification on November 28, 2025. The application process was conducted online from November 27 to December 18, 2025. Following the February examination and subsequent processes, the declaration of results now marks the conclusion of the CTET 2026 examination cycle.
