The CLAT 2024 Consortium issued the second allotment list for counseling on January 8, 2024. Aspirants can view the provisional allocation list for CLAT 2023's second round on the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates obtaining a seat in the CLAT 2024 second allotment list can choose to "freeze," "float," or "exit." Those selecting "freeze" or "float" must submit a non-refundable application fee of Rs 20,000. The third seat allotment list will be unveiled on January 22, according to reports.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a nationwide entrance examination for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs provided by 22 National Law Universities in India. The Consortium of National Law Universities, representing these universities, conducts the CLAT. Additionally, various affiliated universities and organizations utilize the CLAT exam for their admissions and recruitment processes. For the Academic Year 2024-2025, all admissions to the 5-year integrated Ll.B. and Ll.M. programs will be facilitated through CLAT 2024.

CLAT 2024 Admissions Counselling Process

Eligible candidates will be notified to participate in the Admissions Counselling Process based on the rank list and admissions matrix provided by each NLU for the five-year integrated Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs starting in the Academic Year 2024-2025. Notifications will be sent via email, SMS, and the CLAT 2024 portal. Candidates must log in to their CLAT account on the Consortium of NLUs website to confirm their invitations during each round.

Candidates receiving a seat allocation in any NLU can choose the 'Freeze,' 'Float,' or 'Exit' options in counselling rounds. The 'Freeze' option, accepting the allotted seat and not participating in further rounds, requires paying the Confirmation Fee within the stipulated time. There will be five rounds of admissions counselling, with specific dates outlined in the Admissions Counselling Calendar.

Candidates selecting the 'Freeze' option in the first three rounds must pay the remaining University Fee by May 14, 2024. For the fourth and fifth rounds, the University Fee must be paid by the specified date. If a candidate is not allotted a seat in a round, they should await the next round, as the process is sequential. The fourth and fifth rounds in May 2024 will fill any remaining seat vacancies.

All eligible candidates have received invitations via email and SMS to participate in the Admissions Counselling Process for the five-year integrated Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs starting in the Academic Year 2024-2025.
