The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the formation of a 10-member committee to develop a Parenting Calendar for the 2025-26 academic session. The initiative aims to foster better communication and collaboration between parents and schools to improve students' learning outcomes, including those enrolled in online schools. The CBSE believes that strong parent-teacher relationships benefit all students, including those attending online schools.

The parenting calendar aims to address two critical challenges in school education: student performance fluctuations and behavioural issues. By creating a structured platform for continuous dialogue between parents and educators, CBSE hopes to foster a more collaborative approach to student development.
