Re-examination was necessitated after the February test was canceled due to a question paper leak. Over 400 arrests have been made nationwide in connection with the leak. The board has selected only government and government-aided schools to maintain examination integrity.

The board’s Chairman, Rajeev Krishna, stated, "Total 1,174 centres across urban areas will hold the examination for 48 lakh candidates over five days. Each district has been assigned two nodal officers (ADM and ASP), while observers from SP, ASP, and DSP ranks will be present at centres."

To ensure the examinations remain fair, the UP police and STF will monitor 1,541 individuals previously implicated in cheating over the last decade. In total, 1,174 examination centers have been set up in 67 districts, with ADMs and ASPs serving as nodal heads. The board emphasized that 'information security' is of utmost priority, taking various security concerns into account.

Rajeev Krishna added, "At least 20,000 students were found suspicious who will have to reach the centre 150 minutes before the scheduled examination and get their verification conducted. All such students will undergo scrutiny after they qualify the written examination."

Additionally, to prevent fraud, eKYC systems will be available at examination centers, and candidates will undergo post-exam verification.

The Board has also issued warnings about fraud and scams on platforms like Telegram and is working with STF and police for necessary actions. Candidates have been alerted via the Board's website and social media channels to remain informed and cautious.
