Banking jobs: MP Ramamurthy demands fresh exams for Karnataka candidates
'The decision of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to hold all India exams for RRBs would create animosity, and cause a feeling that outsiders are stealing their jobs.'

In a letter, he said, these RRBs serve the financial, banking and other needs of rural areas and their activities are limited to that specific state -- Karnataka, in this case. In such a case, the MP pointed out, it would not serve any purpose to have an outsider posted in rural Karnataka. An outsider, he pointed out, won’t be able to work in a rural bank when he or she knows nothing about the language or local conditions.
