Badal approves recruitment for nearly 2,500 vacant posts

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister today gave the nod to filling up nearly 2,500 posts in the departments of Food and Supplies, Local Government and the Mandi Board.
The decision to this effect was taken by Badal in separate meetings with ministers and officers of these departments to finalise modalities of recruitment process in a time bound manner here, an official spokesman said today.
Badal approved 54 posts of Secretaries and 12 of Assistant Secretaries in the Mandi Board besides 14 posts of Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil), 14 posts of Junior Engineers besides 30 posts each of clerks and steno typists to be recruited, he added.
