Australian bank to employ more people in India
National Australia Bank is all set to outsource 75 jobs to India this year.
MELBOURNE: National Australia Bank is all set to outsource 75 jobs to India this year.
The cut would affect company's processing, data-entry, mailing and other back office functions, said Geoff Lynch, spokesman of the bank.
It is expected many of the jobs will go by mid-year, and will bring to 175 the total number of bank staff now based in India, Herald Sun reported today.
The bank would not rule out further job losses overseas, Lynch was quoted as saying by the paper.
"All parts of the organisation can be reviewed at any time," he said stressing the cuts would allow bank to add more front room staff to its branches.
