Assam Skill Development Mission's 'QG Daksha' to help connect service providers and service seekers

Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) has come up with a platform for convergence of the requirement of service providers and service seekers.

Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary launched the ‘QG Daksha’ mobile app.

QG Daksha app is a unique initiative of Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) to provide a platform for convergence of the requirement of service providers and service seekers. It is a collaborative effort of two Guwahati-based start-ups: Inventbee Innovations Pvt. Ltd. and Quick Ghy Pvt. Ltd; the latter being incubated at Assam Startup -The Nest.


Minister Patowary said, "ASDM has created a pool of workforce thus creating a virtuous cycle for the economy of the state, paving the way towards making Assam the skill capital of India."

The Minister hoped that the app will play the role of a job aggregator for employment generation for the local youth of Assam and help them find suitable job opportunities thereby creating a community of skilled resources.

Emphasizing the need of quality skilled persons for the industrial requirements of the state, the Minister said, "As the state is progressing towards rapid growth of infrastructure in industrial sectors, therefore, the future of these industries will depend on skilled manpower available in the region."

A micro level skill gap study was also released alongside commencement of an impact assessment of the same in the state of Assam. The study was conducted to find out about the demand and supply of skill development programs, its courses and the jobs structure related to the skill.
