KAKINADA: Andhra Pradesh DGP V Dinesh Reddy today said 25000 vacant police constable posts will be filled up soon and police sub-inspectors in the state get gazetted rank.

"The state government is according highest priority to police welfare. A 50-bed super specialty hospital for police will be set up at Hyderabad on par with corporate facilities. While the promotional avenues are being increased by modifying the existing rules, all Head Constables on completion of three years in service will be considered for promotion as Assistant Sub Inspectors," Reddy told the police personnel after inaugurating a modern police canteen built on the lines of the armed services.

"The police canteen would prove to be a boon to the families of policemen as all the household articles and other provisions, including two-wheelers, will be available for sale with a tax rebate," the top cop said.
