600 ex-workers of Hero Honda court arrest
Demanding their jobs back, around 600 workers of Hero Honda Motors Ltd here in Tuesday courted their arrest.

CHANDIGARH: Demanding their jobs back, around 600 workers of Hero Honda Motors Ltd here in Tuesday courted their arrest.
"About 1800 workers of Hero Honda's Daruhera plant in Rewari, Haryana, were retrenched in October last year. Ever since, we have been fighting our battle," Ganesh Jodha, president of the Workers' Union, said here.
He said the "retrenched workers had started their foot march from Daruhera on March 12 and reached Chandigarh today."
"We wanted to meet Haryana's Labour Commissioner, but he was not available. Police also did not spare us and some of the protesting workers were lathicharged," he claimed.
