31 international offers at IIT Roorkee: Final placement

Students at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee have bagged 31 international offers so far in the on-going placement drive.

The placement season started on December 1 at most IITs including Roorkee. 11 students have received offers of Rs 1 crore and above, the institute shared in a release.

The most recent companies to visit the campus include


Accenture Japan, American Express, AU Small Finance Bank, Auronova Consulting, Axis Bank, BrowserStack, Clear, EdgeVerve Systems, Gameskraft Technologies, among others, according to the institute.

The highest domestic package so far this year at this IIT is Rs 1.8 crore compared to the top domestic offer of Rs 80 lakh last year. Even the international top offer has seen a significant jump from Rs 69.05 lakh last year to Rs 2.15 crore this year.

The jump is not just limited to salaries as even the pre-placement offers (PPOs) have risen significantly to 219 this year from 154 PPOs last year.
