1043 IIT Kharagpur students bag jobs in the first 13 days of placements

MUMBAI: A record number of 1043 IIT Kharagpur students have bagged jobs in just thirteen days of the first phase of placement season. 175 companies have visited the campus till date.

There is an increase in the number of PSUs visiting the campus this year. Already 7 PSUs have recruited 44 students during the placement process with Coal India hiring the highest no. of students.

The second highest number of offers has been from Samsung R&D.

Till date IIT Kharagpur has received 24 international offers from companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Sprinklr, Delta Electronics, among others.

Chairman Career Development Centre, Prof Debasis Deb said Core engineering sector has seen an increase in the number of offers this year.
