Train services on NMR to resume tomorrow
Train services on the Nilgiris Mountain Railway, which were suspended between Mettupalayam and Coonoor due to a landslide between Hillgrove and Coonoor stations, will resume on Thursday.

COIMBATORE: Train services on the Nilgiris Mountain Railway, which were suspended between Mettupalayam and Coonoor due to a landslide between Hillgrove and Coonoor stations, will resume on Thursday.
Large boulders had fallen on the track and about 60 metres of railway track was damaged and 15 metres of embankment washed away in flash floods on May 28.
About 150 railway officials under Palghat Senior Divisional Engineer Ramakrishnan, in charge of the section, worked round the clock to restore the track, considering the tourist season in Nilgiris, a Southern Railway press release said here.
