KOLKATA: TIL Ltd, formerly Tractors India, will form a joint venture company that will carry out finance activity along with Singapore-based Caterpillar Services Asia and another Indian promoter.
The company today informed the stock exchanges that the company board has approved investment proposals in the JV. Additional detail had not been provided.
Sources said, TIL would take a significant stake in the JV finance company which would be offering financing solutions to customers.
The proposal to set up the company was still at an early stage and was supposed to be based in South India, the sources said.
