STC invites bids for rice export to N Korea

NEW DELHI: Public-sector State Trading Corporation has invited bids from Indian suppliers to facilitate government's decision of donating 2,000 tons of rice to North Korea as a humanitarian grant.

"Government of India is under the process of donating white rice to North Korea under humanitarian assistance programme," STC said in the tender document posted on its website.

The trading firm said the suppliers should quote the CIF price to be delivered at Nampo port in North Korea.

The last date of submission of bids is July 5.
