AHMEDABAD: Gujarat’s appetite for port infrastructure seems insatiable. After identifying as many as eight greenfield port sites to be developed with private participation, the state government wants to add more sites to the list.

Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), state’s maritime authority, has already taken a decision to develop more greenfield ports sites.

“At this juncture, we cannot say how many sites will be developed. But, in addition to the eight sites that have already been identified, we want to develop more greenfield sites with private participation,” says HK Dash, vice-chairman and CEO of GMB.
