Sri Radhakrishna Shipping creates air charter record

Recently, Mumbai-based Sri Radhakrishna Shipping (SRKS), a leading logistics company, has Aircreated a record of sorts by arranging and handling the largest air charter ever landed on Mumbai port since its inception.

The consignment was a 114 –tonne, two-piece shipment from Helsinki (Finland) by Wartsila. The consignment, two identical pieces having equal weight and dimension, was unloaded from the Russian aircraft (Antonov 124) and then transported it to the premises of the client, ministry of defence organization, on hydraulic low-bed trailors.

Through this effortless operation, the three-decade old company proved that it is unique in offering complete logistical solutions from origin to destination, with services like inspection and survey. “Independent survey, inspection reports and complete logistics,” said company managing director Jaikishan Kotak, “will be an asset to logistics indusrty as trade becomes more global.”
