Siemens bags Rs 167 cr contract from Delhi Cargo Service Centre
DCSC plans to build the complex in phases - 3.5 LT by August next year, 5.5 LT by 2015 and 1.2 MT, the total planned capacity, by 2016.

Delhi Cargo Service Centre, a 74:26 joint venture between Cargo Service Centre (CSC) and Delhi International Airport, is building the complex, the first phase of which with 1.6 lakh tonnes per annum capacity would go on stream next month.
Siemens would provide entire air cargo handling solution that includes automatic storage and retrieval system, cargo workstation and container handling storage and system.
DCSC plans to build the complex in phases - 3.5 LT by August next year, 5.5 LT by 2015 and 1.2 MT, the total planned capacity, by 2016. The total project cost is Rs 550 crore.
The current contract with Siemens ends till the capacity of the cargo complex reaches 5.5 LT. Siemens, however, would get an additional euro 10 million contract when DCSC ramps up capacity beyond 5.5 LT, CSC Group CEO R Panicker said.
He said that DCSC has received Rs 167 crore loan from IDBI for financing the first phase of the project, in which Rs 200 crore investment would go in.
DCSC has also tied up with NIIT Technologies for providing technology for the project.
